(Los Angeles, CA – July 26, 2018) – Funny lady Annie “McFunny” McKnight kept the laughs coming at Oxnard Levity Live Comedy Club, as headliner last night.
Annie is fresh off the popular Stardome stage in Birmingham, Alabama where she and J. Anthony Brown left it a blaze.
The incredibly charismatic and funny comedienne had the audience in stitches with her infectious comedic monologues. Joining Annie on the “Denise Carter and Friends Show” at the historic comedy club included standup comedy from Denise Carter, Ellis Wynne, Amanda Larson, Aiko Tanaka, Adam, JC Currais and Key Lewis.
Originally from Georgia, Annie is a naturally funny storyteller with a southern charm to her who finds humor in the realities of life.
McKnight made a name for herself on ABC television’s America’s Funniest People, taking home the top prize of $10,000 dollars as first place winner on the hit show.
From New York City’s hottest comedy clubs to Chicago and the entire California coastline from San Francisco to San Diego – McKnight’s lengthy film and television resume tells the story. She has appeared on a plethora of shows such as BET Comic View, Soul Man, Baskets, and Snap Decision with David Allen Grier to name a few. Annie’s signature voice has also landed her a voice-over role on the Conan O’Brien’s talk show.
McKnight has built a solid reputation in the entertainment industry. She has received a LAWEBFEST (“The Sundance of web series festivals”) nomination, in the outstanding lead actress category, for her performance in “Nosey Neighbors.”
